Printable Holographic Vinyl for Powersports Graphics

MXPH100 printable vinyl for powersports graphics

Printable holographic vinyl turns changing light into part of the artwork. On motorcycles, motocross bikes, jet skis and show vehicles, the base film can add movement and color shift before the printed design is even considered. The best results come from designing for the holographic effect instead of treating it like ordinary white vinyl.

Design for contrast and movement

Allow selected areas of the holographic base to remain visible. Dark shapes, bold outlines and controlled negative space can make the color shift easier to see. Dense ink coverage may reduce the effect, so test the actual artwork rather than judging the material from an unprinted sample.

Applications that benefit from holographic impact

Holographic printable film is a strong candidate for limited-edition graphic kits, sponsor accents, helmet or fairing details, water-motorsport graphics and social-media-focused builds. It is especially useful when the customer wants the design to change as the vehicle moves or the camera angle shifts.

Test the complete print system

  1. Print a small section containing light, medium and heavy ink coverage.
  2. Evaluate the sample under daylight, shop lighting and camera lighting.
  3. Add the planned laminate and check how it changes the effect.
  4. Apply it to the actual substrate and inspect edges and curves.
  5. Approve the design only after the full stack has been tested.

Keep the finish intentional

Use holographic media as a design tool, not a substitute for strong artwork. If the job needs predictable solid color, white gloss may be the better base. If the customer wants subtle pearl rather than a strong color shift, white xirallic provides a quieter specialty finish.

Request a printed sample before production

Printer, ink, laminate, surface and installation conditions can change the result. Review the MXPH100 product page, compare all four options on the MAXDECAL XTREME product summary, or contact MaxDecals USA to discuss your application and request samples.
